For the second year in a row, the Philippines hosted a virtual version of YouTube FanFest 2021 or YTFF 2021. The three day virtual event was broadcasted live on the YouTube FanFest channel from August 27 to 29 at 6 p.m. Philippine Time, and featured various content producers from Cebu and other parts of the country.

It was during the last year’s pandemic that Youtube Fanfest 2021 became virtual for the first time, bringing positive messages and bringing Filipinos together in spirit no matter where they were in the world.

In addition to this, the online event still continued to highlight inclusiveness and diversity through its 2021 performance.

As part of its commitment to equality and diversity, YTFF began its three day event showcasing Cebu-based artists and pop culture.

Island Life

The show's debut episode, titled "Island Life," includes Cebuano creators Medyo Maldito, Raphiel Shannon, and Snake Princess, who took the viewers on an excursion on the stunning island of Cebu. Indai Allyn, G-FORCE, and the Juan family also joined them in this adventure.

For its second day, the beauty of diversity shone brightly through as lifestyle and beauty creators About RAF, Andree Bonifacio, Hazel Quing, itsclaudineco, Lesha, Madam Ely, Raiza Contawi, ThatsBella, and Tita Krissy Achino took on a series of exciting challenges and collaborations that undoubtedly made the fans smile in the episode entitled, "Everyone is Beautiful".

A diverse group of creators from the first and second days joined Benedict Cua, Chef RV Manabat, Natalia Guerrero, Ranz Kyle, Reneé Dominique, and Niana Guerrero to celebrate diversity and togetherness in a special YouTube entertainment experience for "The Finale." Simpol, SB19, Team Lyqa and Zack Tabudlo could also be seen in this third and last episode of YTFF Philippines 2021.

YTFF Philippines commits to safe entertainment

According to Gabby Roxas, the Marketing Head of Google Philippines, YouTube will continue its aim of delivering inspiring contents to Filipinos while they are staying safe indoors.

They also offered this event to the medical frontline heroes who persevere in serving our kababayans during this pandemic. He also said organizing the YTFF event every year helps bringing together individuals from all walks of life, including members of the wonderful Pride community as well as those living in other parts of the country.

He also added that they were all hoping that this year's Fanfest Philippines can give inspiration in gaining some optimism and foster some online togetherness which, according to him is something we could all need right now.

Health and Safety Protocols for YTFF

In light of the outbreak, the Youtube Fanfest Philippines took place virtually for the second year in a row this year instead of the physical shows that they used to organize every year in order to observe the health and safety protocols being implemented by the COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolutions or the IATF guidelines.
