The city was formerly known as the "Paris of Negros" for a number of reasons dating back to its early days and has now become one of the most visited sites during the various types of holidays in the Philippines. The site is primed for further splendor and elegance because of its one-of-a-kind design elements, skilled workmanship, and visitor draws. Here are some of the sights that visitors may see when visiting the area around Lumina Silay.

Famous Churches and Heritage Houses in Silay City

Silay City, one of the Philippines' best-preserved historical towns, serves as the airport's entry point to Negros Occidental. Within the Silay City Heritage Zone, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines or NHCP has designated more than 30 heritage treasures from World War, the late 19th century, and the early 20th century as Heritage Houses.

1. Bernardino Jalandoni Museum

Also known as the Pink House, this ancestral house was built in 1908 and was originally owned by Don Bernardino and Doña Ysabel Jalandoni. This heritage house is quite amazing because of the wonderful fusion of indigenous and international design elements that it incorporates. The typical nipa hut style is there, but there are also clear French influences. The structure is made of Mindoro hardwood, and the tin ceiling tray is from Hamburg, Germany. They also made use of wooden louvers and capiz shells.
