The Province of Cavite is widely known for its two major monikers: The "Land of the Brave" and as the "Historical Capital of the Philippines," both of which put the province in the national spotlight, especially for being one of the monumental locations that shaped the country's bloody rich history.

Fast forward to today, the province has transformed into a giant hub with ample economic activities that matched its wealth of people with tremendous economic progress, owing mainly to agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, and proximity to the capital region, which is the epicenter of the country's vast economic activity.

Cavite has outgrown its vastly rural living from way back and has now become a fast-growing economy with a wide selection of commercial establishments that hint at its massive urbanization, but not necessarily losing its rustic and classical beauty with monumental historical significance.

1. Cavite State University - Tanza Campus

In 1964, the school was recognized and converted into a State College through Republic Act 3917 and became Don Severino Agricultural College (DSAC).

Finally, on January 22, 1998, DSAC became Cavite State University by virtue of Republic Act No. 8468. At present, CvSU holds a total of 11 campuses in the province, including Tanza. The Main Campus is named Don Severino de las Alas Campus, situated in the town of Indang.

Others call it the best school in Cavite, and their second home.

3. Punta Elementary School

Established in 1937, Punta Elementary School in Tanza stands as one of the oldest schools in the Cavite town. A testament to this fact is a giant tree that sat on the campus for more than 50 years. For environmental conservation, the SM Foundation furnished the area to become a “green space” by placing tables and benches surrounding the tree to accommodate pupils during their breaks and extra study sessions.

Punta Elementary school in Tanza is equipped with the necessary facilities to aid the educational needs of its manifold students. The campus has a covered court, library hub, school infirmary with an isolation room, a counseling room, and a handwashing area that are also huge thanks to the initiative of SM Foundation, where students could be protected from contracting an illness in light of the coronavirus.

4. Tanza National Trade Annex

On June 27, 1963, the school was established as Tanza National Trade School. It officially commenced operations offering Secondary Trade Education 10 years later in 1973. But funding was directly provided through the Regional Office of DECS. Its financial operations, meanwhile, are separate from the appropriation dispensed to its mother school, the Cavite College of Arts and Trades.

It was in June 1987 when Tanza National Trade School achieved its independence. It has since had its financial autonomy and, through the Technical-Vocational Education Division, was directly under the care and supervision of the DECS Regional Office. In June 1992, Tanza National Trade School began offering Post-Secondary Education, specifically a two-year Technical Education in addition to its existing four-year Secondary Trade Education.

It was initially designed to be a tutorial type, or a one-on-one learning session between a teacher and a pupil, just so they could learn how to read and write before stepping up to proceed to the elementary level.

The parents of some twenty kids discovered Mrs. Cartel’s teaching competence and dedication to the craft, so the parents did not hesitate to entrust their children to Mrs. Cartel and enrolled them in the latter's class for the first-grade level.

Fast forward to 1999, the school became Dei Gratia School, Inc., and started to accept grades one to three for interested enrollees until it received its government recognition to finally cater to grade levels up to six. The school also received its Government Recognition for the Complete Secondary Course in the year 2005, and formally opened and accepted enrollees for First Year up to Fourth Year high school students.

With its continuous offering of quality education as a private academic institution, the school was granted the Fund for Assistance to Private Education (DepEd-FAPE) Certification for Education Service Contracting (ESC) during the school year 2012-2013, plus a government program that is eyed to benefit students who want to pursue and continue their education in a competent private school.

Finally during the school year 2016-2017, Dei Gratia School was granted an official permit to offer Senior High School in General Academic Strand (GAS) and, according to its website, currently has 34 Voucher Beneficiaries for Grades 11 and 12. DGSI takes pride in being the only school in the vicinity to be certified by FAPE-ESC, catering to a total of 226 beneficiaries for the school year 2018-2019 and still counting.

The Dei Gratia School, Inc. advertises itself as a child-friendly institution, a welcoming community, and puts a premium on considering the needs of low-income families, and helping students become future leaders and simply fulfill their dreams of a better, brighter future.
