1. Decide on the kind of plant you're most interested in before you start this home project.

• To begin with, you might choose low-maintenance indoor plants to spruce up your space. However, since most of them are toxic, you must keep them away from children and pets.
• Succulents, trees, and shrubs are good choices for outdoor ornamentals.
• Another option is to grow fruits, vegetables, and mushrooms in your yard to serve fresh on the family table.
• You can also use vertical gardening, where plants may be suspended from ceilings or walls to create a green wall.
• Aquaponics and hydroponics are the last two options.

2. Educate yourself about the basic requirements of your plants, such as how much light they need (indoor, morning sun, full sun, partially, or bright shaded), how much water they need, and what fertilizer and nutritional supplements they need.

3. Golden Tip: Rice wash is an excellent choice for watering plants, as it is loaded with essential nutrients.

4. Additional nitrogen nutrients may be added to your lemon, calamansi, or dalandan plants by scattering coffee grounds on the soil around the plants.

5. To provide a simple organic insecticide, combine the following ingredients in a liter of water: 2 garlic and chili, two tablespoons of vinegar, five drops of dishwashing liquid, and one tablespoon of oil. Do not use the mixture for at least two days after mixing. Avoid damaging your plants' leaves by spraying the mixture on them only in the afternoon.
