Kid friendly places in la union An intimate surf town vibes to share with your kids

La Union is a backpacker's dream. It offers beautiful beach access, outdoor swimming pool, great surfing, a lively nightlife, amazing cuisine, and a variety of fascinating attractions that the family enjoyed. The best part is that it comes at a very reasonable cost!

That is why we understand the reason tourists in La Union are finding some places to enjoy the wave capital of the northern Philippines with their kids.

Here are a few suggestions for sites to see in La Union with your entire family-- including your kids!

Gapuz Grapes Farm

The beach is usually one of the first things that spring to mind for visitors visiting La Union. For most tourists, the town is associated with surfing, swimming in the hot sun, and relaxing in a tropical climate. La Union is also a popular place for agricultural tours in the Philippines, which most tourists are unaware of. The Gapuz Grapes Farm is one of La Union's most renowned farms for grape picking.

Visitors who were captivated by the novelty of harvesting grapes in the sweltering heat of the tropics began sharing their experiences on social media. In the Philippines, you don't need to go to Napa Valley or any other faraway location to achieve this. During grape harvesting season, which runs from March to May, the farm also provides "The Porch Life," a dinner on a banana leaf dubbed "boodle fight," where a group of ten people may have a meal together.

Kamay Na Bato Open Art Gallery

The Filipino word "Kamay na Bato," which means "house of stone," refers to an art gallery where sculptures carved from stone are on display. Mr. Bong Kim, a Korean national with a fine arts degree, owns and curates the gallery. Many of his works may be viewed in the gallery because he concentrated on sculpture when he was in school. He and his family relocated to Luna a few years ago and now reside in the neighborhood where Mr. Kim had resided with his wife and children.

The art gallery has murals, enormous stone sculptures, mounted stone busts, and paintings of Filipino imagery such as seascapes, smiling people, and exotic animals, and colorful fish. Upon entering, Manny Pacquiao is even depicted on a mural! In addition to stone carvings, wooden sculptures can be seen all throughout the site, while a function hall can be booked for a cost. At the back of the museum is a well-lit room that showcases additional paintings and other pieces of art. Don't forget to bring a camera wiht you and take as many pictures as you can of the unique artwork that you see with your kids as possible while you're here.

Ma-Cho Temple (Taoist Temple)

This temple's design stands out against the backdrop of La Union's city skyline like a sharp sword. San Fernando's highest point, located on a hill at a height of 70 feet above sea level, provides a stunning view of the West Philippine Sea, South China Sea, and the San Fernando Harbor in the city. The first Taoist temple in the Philippines was erected in 1975 to commemorate the Chinese sea goddess Mazu.

In addition to the Lian Thing Pagoda, the Majestic Five-Door Gate, and the Bell Tower, there are many more interesting places to explore in the La Union's capital city. Other awe-inspiring monuments include two circular ponds and other magnificently crafted edifices made up of Chinse themes and patterns of lions, dragons, and deities.

An earthquake in the 1800s wiped down the Pindangan church, and it has remained in its current condition ever since.

Red Clay Pagdamilian

Ilocano term "damili" means "the art of pottery making," and it's the root word for Red Clay Pagdamilian, a prominent pottery workshop, and store that exhibits local talent with exquisite pottery and other souvenir products for sale. But amongst the pottery on display, what makes it a famous attraction is that everyone may touch the clay and form their own one-of-a-kind keepsake clay item from scratch for a nominal cost.

Guests visit from all over the globe to the studio to make their own pots and other pottery designs since the shop's free hands-on pottery lessons are such popular with everyone.

With two distinct surfing seasons (July to October and November to March), Urbiztondo Beach in San Juan is recognized as the "Surfing Capital of Northern Philippines." There has been a surge in surf culture in this region of La Union in recent years because of the consistent waves. In addition to a wide range of venues to learn to surf and stay along the shore, there are various amenities like these as well. Renting a surfboard is also an option in the region.

This is a perfect place to enjoy the beach and surfing with your kids since Bacnotan is a popular place for beginners to learn to surf since the waves aren't too huge, making it ideal for those who have never attempted the sport before. Urbiztondo and the nearby village of Mona Lisa Point are popular destinations for more experienced surfers.
