Do you want to travel to Bacolod? Your visit to the City of Smiles will not be complete without its popularly known Bacolod's Chicken Inasal!
Chicken Inasal is a trademark food of the City of Smiles and is considered one of their special cuisines. This dish originated from Bacolod City, which says that you can't spell the city's name without the word Inasal in it.
The word Inasal, on the other hand, is from the Hiligaynon term meaning "char-grilled" or "roasted meat." This cuisine is so famous in the region that they even have a street in Bacolod City named "Manukan Country." It is called such a name since all men used to have Inasal as their star dish.
The food and the place are an impeccable match that Bacolod is listed as one of the most livable cities in the Philippines.
You can also enjoy other finger-licking dishes in Bacolod City, like their KBL or the Kadyos, Baboy, and Langka, which are named after the three main ingredients of the cuisine itself.
Other than that, they also have another savory dish called Cansi. It is the Ilonggo version of Bulalo and Sinigang. This is a beef soup with a sour broth since beef shanks are often used for cooking this meal.
Apart from this, Bacolod City also offers ambrosial native delicacies for the sweet lovers like their most famous piaya, napoleones, half moon cakes, barquillos, biscocho, and their most sought-after Calea Cakes.
The City of Bacolod is also famous for its most colorful and fun festival called the Masskara Festival. This exciting and entertaining annual festival was founded to cheer up the residents and put a smile on their faces. During this festival, Bacolod City residents wear smiling masks to say that they will overcome all the hardships they face, no matter how big or small it is.
Aside from this, the Masskara Festival also features the Bacolod's Chicken Inasal during its celebration.
To know how to prepare and cook this saporous dish, let's take a look at this recipe.

Maximize your Kitchen Space
Cooking the Bacolod's Chicken Inasal will be much convenient and efficient if you have a streamlined kitchen. So, let's check how to make your small kitchen more efficient and look more prominent.
1. Stretch your kitchen's space.
The kitchen is often referred to as the heart of a house. This is true as it is where meals are prepared and cooked and where friends and family members are being nourished and inspired by the food that we make. This is why it's essential to ensure that your kitchen is efficient enough to handle all your gastronomy preparations.
2. Strong lines are essential.
A line may be drawn across anything in your kitchen, no matter how little it is.
Countertops are adorned with horizontal and vertical lines. The refrigerator's border is also decorated with vertical stripes. Between tiles or boards of hardwood flooring, there are lines of grout, too. These visual lines may work together to attract the eye farther into the kitchen if used correctly. For example, if you have an L-shaped kitchen, you may want to emphasize the width, depth, or even height.
To make a small kitchen seem more extensive, you can lay your tile horizontally. Stacked bond patterns in horizontal rows can make your small kitchen appear larger than it is. For a more consistent design, you can also try using open shelves and butcherblock counters.
3. Please keep it simple.
To get the most out of your kitchen's lines, you need to eliminate everything that doesn't fit in with your plan. In a big kitchen, elegant crown molding and woodwork with a lot of curving lines are acceptable. Meanwhile, for a small kitchen, it just complicates the aesthetic in a tiny room by disrupting the design flow.
An assortment of utensils and cookware smothers a modest kitchen: clear countertops, windowsills, and cabinet tops of clutter to make the area seem larger. Minimalist European-style cabinets with flat-panel doors are also a great way to reduce clutter further.
If you want a sleeker look, you can go for slab doors (a flat panel) or shaker-style doors (a rectangular frame with no angle). It would be best if you also kept in mind that hardware should also be basic and direct. Alternatively, you can also choose cabinets without hardware like touch-activated cabinets to save up some extra space.
Designing your kitchen will be less complicated if you will have a space you can call your own.
