Designed by Davao City-based artist Kublai Millan, the 85.5-meter-long rosary is comprised of connected beads fashioned from magcono (ironwood), which may be found in the highlands of Davao Oriental and Surigao del Sur. 

Even though Tagum's gigantic rosary is set to be the world's largest, the Christ the King Cathedral and its record-breaking rosary serve as more than just a local claim to fame.
